things must be done and get done fast !
so, i was chilling and having a chat with a friend a few days back.
somehow, we agreed upon that, education good as it is, made us much more materialistic. i know you're thinking, wtf is wrong with you. but hold that for a sec and think about it.
in places where education exist(lol) people tend to be far more materialistic thn at places who ain.
having said that, there are exerpts that education made humans smarter. i dont deny that. for me, thats a fact.
think about it, at elementary schools, we are taught to speak properly and communicate with an audience. that is know as networking. then, we are taught maths, which aided us in calculation. somehow, we were taught 5W and 1H in english compositions. and that made us thing. why when where what who, how. that just added depth to our communication skills.
students may ask, teacher, why are u taller than us. for example. that will go on and become questions like, why is this more expensive thn that, or why is he better than me. etc
now, if u were to take education away from them, will they be asking question like that? i doubt so. and the link for education to materials? simple.
the very material and text that fill our education mediums are the cause from the way i see.
'toms dad drives owns a big farm with lots of land space. tims dad works on the farm toms dad owns' for example.
which do you think will be the more desierable position?
'jamie bought a diamond ring for angela. jessie bought a paper ring for kate'
hmm?
'my car goes 0-100 in 3secs. you dont have a car'
yeaaaa classic HAHAHHA
so yea, we are wired in such a way that, we wan the better cooler nastier stuff. but who can blame us? we are humans after all. this is why, village and empires fight for fertile land. but thats in the past.
in today modern world, we dont exactly battle for that, we battle for brand recognisition and ownership. we battle for stuff we dont need but looks and sounds good to have anyway.
